This is how I started building a brand in the early stages of starting my online business.

How I Started My Business

In October 2020, I was working at my 9-5 (a local marketing agency), teaching donation-based yoga on Zoom every weekend and just like you, navigating uncertain times. This same month, I made the decision that I was going to move forward in turning my “idea” into a business. 

I had NO previous business experience (nor a business degree). 

And, I wasn’t clear on exactly what I wanted my business to be. 

Plus, I didn’t have any close friends at the time who were business owners.

And, felt an immense sense of confusion when I sat down to “start”.

But I made the active decision that I was going to do one thing every single day to get a step closer to “having a business”. It was me, my 1-bedroom apartment and my college laptop against the world.

Thanksgiving 2020, I launched my social media management business. Then, I booked my first client within 3 weeks and left my 9-5 within 4 months. 

My entire life changed over the course of 90 days, all because I made a decision to begin. It didn’t matter how messy the path would be.

You Have a Calling

I believe that we all have a calling. Deep down, you have a desire to bring an idea to life and I am certain that the “idea” living rent-free in your mind is exactly what you came to this earth to accomplish. No one here can fulfill the mission that YOU were sent here to do. 

Unfortunately, most people in this lifetime won’t answer the calling. They’ll continue forward in living their life for other people, ignoring their intuition at the expense of their own joy and functioning on auto-pilot day after day after day… 

I sure as hell will not let that be me. And I don’t want that to be you either, First name / sis.
